Living Last Supper - Event Information
This is a brief overview and timeline for preparing for the Living Last Supper performance.
The cast will need to arrive and have access to the church or venue about 90 minutes before the scheduled performance time.
We will need access to the area where the performance will be held and the cast will then begin setting up our tables, chairs, lights, speakers and music. It can take up to 45 – 60 minutes to complete the set up as well as do a sound, light and microphone check.
We also need a room for the cast to change from their street attire to the robes that the disciples wear.
After setup, the performance begins by the Pastor or host reading the scripted Welcome as well as the initial Reading.
Once the reading is completed, music begins and the cast begins entering for their performance. Typically the cast will enter from the back of the performance venue and walk toward the performance stage.
The performance takes place with the disciples and Jesus seated at a table partaking in the last supper. As the performance continues each disciple provides a monologue about who they are, how they came to know Jesus and how they are wondering who it is that will betray Jesus.
The Living Last Supper drama lasts about 55 minutes.
At the end of the performance, the cast stays at the table and one of the disciples may speak for 5-10 minutes giving their testimony or will speak to what the Holy Spirit has placed on their heart. We then offer an invitation to anyone to come forward and the disciples will be pleased to pray for all responding.
Once the performance ends, tear down takes about 35 minutes.
If available, it is helpful if you have a kitchen area that can be used for washing up our food supplies.
